This section is a compilation of answers to the questions most commonly asked by our constituents. Just start by following one of the links below. If you can’t find the question you wanted to ask, don’t hesitate to contact us.

  1. Our organization raises awareness of and helps people researching, studying about, or active in the prevention of genocide. For more information, see our Mission and History.

  2. Most of our resources - such as our grants database - are only available to our members. Visit our membership page to learn more.

  3. You can learn more about the benefits of INoGS membership and sign-up to become a member by visiting the "Join INoGS" page.

  4. Our next event is our conference, scheduled to take place June 2022 in Mexico City! Visit the conference site by clicking on this question to learn more.

  5. We have a responsibility to our community and our donors and work hard to ensure long-term sustainability of the organization. All donations go directly to the support of genocide and mass atrocity scholarship. All donations are welcome from anywhere in the world; donations from the United States are tax-deductible.

  6. What is your organization's privacy policy?

    Our organization takes our privacy policy seriously and takes steps to protect and ensure the safety of our supporters. We do not sell or otherwise disclose information about our members. This policy has no exceptions. We do not sell or exchange your information with any other organizations, public, private or nonprofit. We recognize that in many areas of the world, genocide scholars are persecuted because of their work. We take privacy very seriously. Contact us if you have any questions.

  7. Yes! INoGS publishes a peer-reviewed journal - the Journal of Genocide Research (JGR), which is published quarterly by Taylor and Francis. You can see more by visiting the Journal of Genocide Research page under the Impact category on our website! INoGS also regularly publishes a newsletter.

  8. Yes! We often feature INoGS members on our social media accounts. We also highlight the work of members in our newsletter. If you would like your work to be included in these announcements, contact us.
