In 2023, the Journal of Genocide Research published a special issue under the theme “The Russian Invasion of Ukraine – Victims, Perpetrators, Justice, and the Question of Genocide.” It has now been three years since Russia launched its invasion which, according to a recent Wall Street Journal report, has resulted in more than one million deaths so far. Despite unfathomable death, displacement, and destruction, plus an ICJ provisional measures order and multiple ICC arrest warrants, Russia’s assault on Ukraine continues. During this webinar, participants will discuss their contributions to the special issue of Journal of Genocide Research, as well as what has transpired since publication.
Webinar Moderators:
- A. Dirk Moses (Editor in Chief of Journal of Genocide Research, co-editor of the special issue, and co-author of a contribution to the issue)
- Diana Dumitru (Co-editor of the special issue)

- Yulia Ioffe (author of Forcibly Transferring Ukrainian Children to the Russian Federation: A Genocide?)
